Even though I don't go crazy with impulse buys, I still spend too much money. A lot of it goes toward eating out- and I hate that. Usually Chris and I are too tired or lazy to cook at home, and it's hard to be motivated when it's just the two of us.
Eating out costs too much money and is less healthy than cooking at home. I need to figure out a way to revamp my shopping and spending habits to better the both of us.
One of the ways to keep myself accountable and from eating out all the time is to put my spending out there. I have an app on my phone to keep track of what I buy, and I'll do a recap post once a month- how I did, what I bought, how I saved money, and what keeps me on track.
Since I'll be posting about this every month (not sure how long I'll continue it- we'll see how it goes!), I'll break down the post by week instead of by day, otherwise I think it'll be too cluttered.
I'm excited about this for many reasons, one is that I have a goal on my 101 in 1001 to keep track of my spending for 2 months, and to curb spending for a month (nothing unnecessary). Hopefully I can cross both items off with this transparency project. (also, I want to be able to refrain from eating out for a month so hopefully this will help with that as well)
Is there anything financially that you're working toward? Saving more money? How are you doing it?
