I've been a long time lover of The Body Shop and I've mainly stuck to the lines that would benefit me the most, so, the Seaweed & Tea Tree collections. Here is a review of some of the products I've tried over the past few years.
The Tea Tree Face Mask is great as well. I've had the same one for like 2 years (I tend to forget about it in my medicine cabinet) but it still works fine and it's always nice to treat yourself to a mask once in a while, especially if you're prone to acne like I am. (The Body Shop's whole Tea Tree line is for acne)
In the shower I like to use the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash. It does seem to work on my skin and my acne starts to go away or in the very least, the redness will go away and I know I've cleaned out the bacteria!
A few years ago I thought I'd try the Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion because, like I've shared, I'm always getting acne. As of right now, I haven't used this product enough to do a thorough review on it, but many people swear by it.
I equally love the Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator (if that's even possible!). It's amazing, non-irritating and clean smelling. You may think it might be harsh since it's an exfoliator, but it's not- it's the perfect in-between of facial wash and exfoliation.
On my most recent trip there I purchased their Camomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover and although I don't wear makeup too often and though this is my first time buying Makeup Remover, I like it! The saleslady also mentioned that it gets red lipstick off easily (it does, I tried it), which is the most difficult form of makeup to remove. It seems pretty oily when first applied but it dries quickly & without feeling like there's a residue.
I tried one of the Body Shop's lipsticks, which I liked, but I've only worn a few times, as I don't wear makeup on a regular basis. I checked online and they don't seem to carry my shade online. (I also can't remember what it's called, but I would recognize it if I saw it)
I bought the Lychee Blossom perfume & the Atlas Mountain Rose Shower Gel about a year ago during Christmas time. Unfortunately I don't have a picture for the body wash since I used it up, but it was one of my absolute FAVORITE body washes, and that's saying something. The Cranberry soap was purchased at the same time as well, and The Body Shop doesn't carry the perfume or soap any longer.
I picked up their Rainforest Volumizing Shampoo and I enjoy the fact that it doesn't have any silicones, sulphates, parabens or colourants. I'm trying to stick to better shampoos now, and I like this a lot. Because of the contents, it's very liquidy, which is different than the normal thick shampoo many of us are used to. It also doesn't suds or lather too well, but other shampoo companies will put extra chemicals into their product to make it this way. I personally really like this smell!
Along with the Shampoo, I got the Rainforest Volumizing Conditioner. I don't use conditioner regularly, but I love how my hair felt after using this product. It too does not have silicones, parabens or colourants.
The Body Shop always has sales going on, which I like it a lot because I'll usually go there when I'm low on my Seaweed Toner, but I'll want to try other things because of their deals. (Buy 3 Get 2 Free, Buy 2 Get 1 Free or BOGO 50% Off)
