Thank God it's Friday! I'm especially excited on this last day of the week because I'm headed to some natural springs to go camping for Memorial Day weekend. I'll be gone from Saturday to Monday, exact times are unknown. One of my roommates is having a baby shower on Saturday, so hopefully I can make it before we leave. If not, I helped her get ready and I already have her gifts! Also, Chris's dad is in town today, so we're going to meet up with him for dinner.
Side note: is it just me, or is EVERYONE pregnant right now? I just went to 3 baby showers with more on the way!
Last weekend I was visiting my best friend Marlee while she was back home, where we both grew up. We've been friends for 10 years, I can't believe it- every since Mrs. Brewer's class in the 6th grade... it's insane to think about how much we've changed and grown since then, but I'm so, so glad we've remained best friends while so many other friendships have faded.
My week 2 tag is in the upper-left corner attached to the picture of Shadow, Chris's dog! He's so silly... sometimes he'll lay down with just his head under the bed. The picture next to it is actually a Japanese postcard! The last picture, on the bottom right is from a Tampa Bay Rays game we went to a little while ago. (Sometimes I'll include pictures that are from a few weeks ago since I'm just starting & would like to work in some older photographs!) I'm not a big baseball girl (football is my game), but it was fun to go and learn more about the game in the process.
Two hedgehogs are featured in this week's layout! Marlee has a pet hedgehog, Penelope, featured in the bottom right picture, and she sent me a thank-you card, featured in the upper left corner. I added half of a Seafoam Core Kit card to the thank you. One of the other cards in the kit is the "See, hear, taste, touch & smell" one, which I was excited to fill out this week. I cut a 4x6 photo to fit two pockets, which displayed some of the cards I made the previous week. I shipped them all out on Monday!
Again, all pictures are ordered from PostalPix, the photo pockets on the left are from We R Memory Keepers, and the photo pockets on the right are PL Design A.
