My challenge for 2015: walking or running at least one mile every day.
This is my goal because I don't currently exercise and I know it's terrible. I walk around campus a few times a week, but that's not enough; I'm young and I should be taking better care of my body!
I have the most trouble starting to exercise, so if I set a goal to walk or run at least one mile, I can always push myself to do one or two more. But this challenge is easy enough so if I'm having a particularly bad day, I don't need to strain myself but I still get some movement.
I got the idea from Elise Blaha- she had her own mile a day where she would run at least a mile a day between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day. I decided to modify it a little and do this challenge for an entire year- an entire year of getting up and moving. Also, I am not restricting myself to running- as long as I walk at least one mile daily, I'm covered.
With everything being said, I got extremely excited when Elise first announced her goal-setting letterpress prints. (As pictured above!) This is something that is right up my alley and as a bonus, I could support one of my favorite bloggers. I had already been thinking about doing a mile a day for 2015 and now I had the perfect way to document my progress.
While I'll try to take pictures of my walk/runs to be more accountable, I'm mostly concerned with filling in that bubble a day. What challenges do you want to conquer this new year? Will you be buying a goal-setting print to document it? (They're on sale here or win one here!)
I'll also continue to check off items on my 101 in 1001 list & keep my one little word (embrace) in mind. Check out my play outside challenge recap.
